I'm a single girl dating in the city. Sometimes it's funny

I’m a single girl living in the Caribbean. I decided to blog because it’s easier to get all my thoughts out without a character limitation and it helps me positively channel emotions.

After being constantly in relationships, I decided to be by myself and work on a better me. Along my journey, I worked on some issues I had and decided it was time to date again. It’s really not as easy to do as it is to type, that’s for sure. I’ve encountered guys I was absolutely sure about, guys that I needed to run from but couldn’t and guys whose main purpose was to make me realize that dating isn’t as serious as I made it, sometimes.

In the end I’m still single and I’m asked why everyday. To quickly answer I’ll say I want the butterflies, the type of love that I feel protected from the world, the love that would make me cry because I’m so happy. Maybe I watch too many movies, or listen to a lot of love songs, but I believe it’s out there. I don’t dislike being single, I’m just ready to find HIM.

Okay, maybe I am getting old, but it’s true.

Nice to see a fellow Caribbean person writing. I’m from Barbados so I’m a proud Caribbean blogger as well. Wish you well in your endeavours.

I’m single in America and I get that question “why are you single?” from men all the time. 🙂 I blog about relationship topics and tell stories as well. Thanks for following. I’m following you as well. Happy writing.

I too would rather be hurt by truth than poisoned slowly by lies. I googled “how to be cold hearted and calculating” and stumbled onto ur blog.
If u would be so graceous to give some tips on her to change my heart towrds someone who is unworthy that i foolishly love (1st time for me…love), I’d appreciate it.
I’m faithful, loyal, and genuine….he has made some progress but digresses and continues to be deceitful.
